Welcome to Scales & Tales Outdoors! I’m Captain Terry Elliott, and I’m excited to share my passion for the water with you. Born and raised in the beautiful state of Florida, I have always felt a deep connection to the waterways that surround me.

My journey began at the young age of 13 when I stepped into the corporate world, where I spent the next 34 years until I was 47. While I thrived in this environment, my heart yearned for the moments spent fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. Those cherished times on the water not only brought me joy but also fueled my desire to connect with others through the shared experience of fishing.

After years of balancing my corporate career with my love for the water, I knew it was time to prioritize my passion. Scales & Tales Outdoors is the culmination of my dream to help others create unforgettable memories while fishing. I take pride in sharing my knowledge and experience with fellow enthusiasts, ensuring that each trip is not just about the catch, but about the moments that last a lifetime.

I am a proud loving husband, a father of two wonderful adult children, and a doting grandpa to my amazing granddaughter. Family is at the heart of everything I do, and I believe that the memories made on the water are some of the most precious.
