REservation Policies
- A 3% credit card processing fee will be charged for all credit card transactions, both online and in person.
- If paying with check, checks must be received 14 days prior to trip, for remaining balance of trip and live bait minus deposit.
- Remaining balance due day of trip in form of Cash (is King) or Credit Card, including cost of live bait provided and 3% Credit Card fee if paying by credit card.
- To reserve your trip a $100.00 deposit is required to book your specific date.
Cancellation Policies
- Cancellations must be made seven days prior to the date of your trip, if made seven days prior the deposit can be transferred to another date or refunded in full. Cancellations made less than seven days before the scheduled trip, or no shows, forfeit the $100.00 deposit and will not be refunded or transferred to another date.
- Inclement weather cancellations will be at the captain’s discretion. If needed the captain will contact you the day before the trip regarding the weather. Light rain or cold weather will not hold up the trip, we recommend bringing rain gear or clothing for cold weather with you on the boat to meet expected weather conditions. Thunder storms, hail, excessive wind, tropical storms, hurricanes and tornadoes will be expected cancellations, at this time the captain will refund the deposit or you may transfer your deposit to another available date.
PRIVATE Pontoon Boat Tour
Scales and Tales offers private pontoon boat tours on the beautiful Winter Haven Chain of Lakes, accommodating up to six guests aboard our spacious 24 ft Sun Chaser Pontoon boat, which is equipped with a powerful 115hp Yamaha outboard motor.
With our service, you never have to worry about sharing the boat, as the pontoon and captain are exclusively reserved for your enjoyment throughout your trip. We provide a cooler filled with complimentary ice-cold bottled water to keep you refreshed during your outing.
You can choose to relax and enjoy a leisurely cruise on the lakes, taking in the scenic views and observing the local wildlife. Alternatively, you may wish to stop at a sandy beach to cool off in the water or visit one of the fantastic restaurants or bars located along the Chain for delicious food, refreshing drinks, and live music entertainment.

- Snacks or lunch - We can stop into one of the local restaurants on the water for lunch and beverages of your choice. (Price not included)
